Shape: Directional Twin

A directional twin snowboard combines the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a slight directional emphasis. While featuring a symmetrical shape for switch riding, it incorporates a subtle directional aspect, such as a slightly longer nose or setback stance, enhancing performance in one primary direction. This design maintains a playful feel for freestyle maneuvers while optimizing stability and control, particularly in powder or variable conditions. Ideal for riders who enjoy the park but desire enhanced performance on groomers or in specific terrains, a directional twin provides a versatile compromise between freestyle agility and directional stability.

1. Sintered

YES Snowboards' sintered bases are crafted by fusing tiny polyethylene particles under heat and pressure, creating a porous, durable surface. Known for superior speed and wax absorption, these bases are favored by advanced riders for their high-performance capabilities in various snow conditions.

2. Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo

YES Snowboards'Poplar/Paulownia/Bamboo core features Poplar, Paulownia and Bamboo rails. Poplar provides lightweight characteristics and consistent flex, enhancing maneuverability. Paulownia, even lighter, maintains strength with a favorable strength-to-weight ratio. Bamboo adds durability and responsiveness. This blend ensures optimal weight reduction, responsiveness, and performance, making YES Snowboards perfect for various styles and conditions.

3. TRIAX

Triaxial or "Triax" fiberglass on a snowboard refers to a fiberglass construction where the fibers run in three directions—usually along the length and width of the board and at an angle. This configuration adds torsional stiffness to the board, enhancing its overall stability and responsiveness. Snowboards with triaxial fiberglass tend to have a more precise and controlled feel, making them suitable for riders who prioritize stability at higher speeds, improved edge hold, and better performance in challenging conditions. Triax fiber is often found in snowboards designed for advanced and aggressive riding styles.

Flex

10/10
soft stiff

Perfectly symmetrical shape for balanced riding, equally versatile both when used regular and when used in switch. Great balance between feline stability and freestyle mobility, no matter which way you point it.

FOREVER FLEX

Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that helps stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for its lifetime. Our boards now finish the first stages of production slightly overbuilt and then we “break them in” using a specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use. By flexing the fresh board fibers and epoxy at the factory the materials settle into their final arrangement within the board layup much the same as if you rode the board for 20 days. This process helps us narrow our production tolerances so the board you buy has a more accurate specified flex and rocker profile that will change less as you ride it more.

Amazing ride!

I don't usually write reviews, especially after only using an item for 1 day, but WOW this is snowboarding awesomeness. First season intermediate rider (have ridden skate boards forever) upgraded from a beginner friendly Burton Ripcord V Rocker to the Yes Standard. Size 162, I weigh 215 lbs, size 10 boot. First day on the Standard and I am already so stoked on my decision. It feels incredible! It tracks so well skating and flat basing, has tons of grip, doesn't feel catchy whatsoever, the base is fast as hell, it turns so incredibly well at any speed even while being wider than my old board, the flex feels great, and it's an easy joyful ride. To put it simply, it's Confidence inspiring. I can see my progression skyrocketing with this deck. Kudos to Yes for designing such an amazingly easy to ride high quality board. Even a noob can feel how great this board is.

Favorite board!

I've been riding for 30 years and this is the best board I've ever ridden. All rounder which is simply great everywhere. Stable yet playful, it can bomb and it can butter, it can pop and it can carve. Love it! Haven't tested it in powder yet.

The moment i stepped on this board i felt how responsive it was and this board just wants to go fast. You actually feel confident and comfortable blasting the is thing and going quickly. Also take this to park riding aswell, does great on jumps and once u master the camber it’s game over. Overall great board!!

Yes standard 156

Riding since 06, at 6' 170lbs, size 9 boot i went with the yes standard in a 156cm. After some time on it I can confidently say this is one of the most versatile boards I've been on. Rips a carve, stays stable, shoots you out of turns with power when driven hard. Also plenty fun in the park or just messing around on some greens. Havent had it in much powder yet. This is my first time on a yes product and first time experiencing the midbite technology. To me this feels much more natural and smooth than arbor grip tech or mervin magnatrac. Overall I love this plank and I hope they continue to make it well into the future! If you're into riding a little bit of everything and enjoy speed and hard turns, pick one up. You'll love it.
